Nepal is a place with exotic location and exquisite sites attraction lot many visitors every year. Tribhuvan is one of the sole airports in the region of Nepal which include two terminals one is for the domestic airport and another is for international airport. The Tribhuvan airport has lots of facilities like cafes and a variety of shops, making the airport unique in itself. The airport is located at a distance of about six kilometers from the Kathmandu valley.

The King Birenda has formally inaugurated the Tribhuvan airport terminal in the year 1990. Travelers are coming to this place by air pass, making this region named as the “Gate way to Nepal.†Nepal provides reasonable flights to the visitors both domestically and internationally.
The schedules of air services are both for inbound and outbound travelers of the principal cities of Thailand, India, Singapore, Myanmar (Burma), Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Austria, Qatar, German and lots of other countries globally. Many defense airlines like Nepal’s national flag carrier, Royal Nepal Airlines, Boeing 757 and 767 are international service providers from the region of Kathmandu to Delhi, Calcutta, Bombay, Bangkok, Karachi, Singapore, Osaka, Hong Kong, Dhaka, Dubai, Frankfurt, Rangoon, London and other destinations. Moreover, Indian Airlines has flights from Delhi, Calcutta, Patna and Varanasi (Banaras).
The Thai International airline operates flights from Kathmandu and Bangkok, while on the other hand the Union of Burma Airways has flights from Rangoon. Along with that, the Bangladesh Biman has flights from Dhaka where as Pakistan Int’l Airlines provides services between Kathmandu and Karachi. In the same way, Singapore Airlines has its services from Singapore. The Thai International airline also operates Austria’s Lauda Airlines and Qatar Airlines have flight as well.
For long distance journey, Thai Airways International provides the business-class lounge where various facilities are offered, including snacks and newspapers. There are 22 international airlines which connect Nepal to different parts of the world covering the Middle East, Asia and Europe. The airport has a collection of two counters for tourists, one for those who are arriving in the airport with valid visas and the other who requires new visas at the immigration hall.
